The Lumen Prize invites you to the New York launch of The Liminal Review: New Signals in Arts Technologies at Onassis ONX. This inaugural publication, available for download on September 24, charts how artists worldwide are reshaping digital culture, drawing from over 2,200 submissions across 71 countries. Developed in partnership with Sónar+D and supported by Onassis ONX, the Review combines data-driven insights with curatorial perspectives from leading institutions.
The evening will open with remarks from Rachel Falconer (Head of Creative Technology at Goldsmiths, author of The Liminal Review), followed by a special screening of 2025 Lumen Prize finalist works, fresh from their debut at the V&A Museum’s Digital Design Weekend in London.
About The Lumen Prize: Founded in 2012, The Lumen Prize is the leading global award for art created with technology. Celebrating innovation at the intersection of art, science, and emerging media, Lumen champions artists working across machine learning, immersive environments, interactivity, and computation.

The Liminal Review is a new initiative from The Lumen Prize that brings together digital scholarship, curatorial research, and artistic practice. The Lumen Prize is generously supported by Metaversal, a venture studio dedicated to building at the intersection of technology and culture.
