Wenjun Chen

 

Wenjun Chen is a China-born, New York-based interdisciplinary artist working in new media. His practice explores the blurred boundaries between the real and virtual, delving into themes of self-identity, technology, and personal data. A self-taught photographer, Chen holds an MFA in Digital and Interdisciplinary Art Practice from the City College of New York.

He has received numerous honors, including the Onassis ONX Fellowship, an Asian American Arts Alliance WCWD Grant, a More Art Engaging Artists Fellowship, and the Taipei Photo Emerging Photographers' Award. He was also a finalist for Germany’s Dummy Award Kassel and China’s Three Shadows Photography Award.

Chen’s work has been exhibited internationally across the US, Europe, and Asia. His pieces are held in prominent collections, including the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung Foundation, the Chengdu Contemporary Image Museum, and the China Port Museum.
