Sara Simon
Sara Simon is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores how human, living, and geological bodies express desire across interwoven environments. She creates immersive worlds shaped by adaptation, where scientific processes and emerging technologies converge with sound, film, sculpture, and performance. Her creative research, the foundation of her practice, follows a curiosity to understand eroticism as affect; how responses to stimuli are not isolated to human emotion and considers erotic energy at a cosmic scale.
Sara has contributed to the work of ambitious large-scale projects for renown artists as an innovator and creative director to teams of scientists, ecologists, programmers, and fabricators to develop emerging technologies primarily in real-time data driven simulation, computer science, bio-tech and living systems. She is the founder of Hold On, a sustainable design studio, and a 2025 Fiction & Entertainment SciArc graduate. Sara lives and works in New York City and Los Angeles.
