Ivona Tau
Ivona Tau, PhD (b. 1990, Lithuania) is a new media artist and AI researcher working at the intersection of photography, mathematics, and machine learning, based between Vilnius and Warsaw. She trains her own generative models on personal archives, treating the dataset itself as the site of authorship. Tau holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology and a Master's in Mathematics from the University of Warsaw. Her work has shown at Christie's New York, Sotheby's New York, Art Basel Miami Beach,, with pieces held in the collections of ZKM Karlsruhe and Francisco Carolinum Linz.
