Brian Droitcour
Brian Droitcour is a critic, editor, and curator based in New York. He is the director of Outland, a nonprofit supporting publishing and education projects about art and technology.
For nearly two decades, Droitcour has written about Net Art, immersive experiences, and other topics that people who have power in the art world avidly ignore or openly despise. He recently started Outland, a nonprofit for publishing and education about digital art, to build context around the things he believes are important, and to make the inquiry into new and marginal developments in contemporary culture a less isolating endeavor.
In collaboration with ONX Member Matt Romein, Droitcour organizes Outland Game Night at Onassis ONX, a monthly event series where artists share games with a small group of guests in a casual setting, providing the opportunity to experience games as art in a more social way, not just on your own screen at home.
