Ambrose Trataris
Ambrose Trataris / Cy Berspace (he/they) is a trans conceptual artist, technologist, and Drag performer based in the Bay Area. Trataris is the recipient of the inaugural 2025 Art Basel Awards celebrating 36 visionary Medalists who are redefining the contemporary art landscape. He is an Artist Advisor to the SF Arts Commission with Gray Area as part of the Shaping Legacy: San Francisco Monuments & Memorials program supported by the Mellon Foundation. They are an artist in residence at the 2025 Space Program, 2024 Dresher Ensemble Artist Residency, and 2023 CounterPulse ARC. They are the recipient of the 2024 Kenneth Rainin Foundation New & Experimental Works Program, 2024 MAP Fund, and 2019 YBCA 100 Award. He has exhibited at Marymount Manhattan College, San Francisco Art Institute, Minnesota Street Project, EFA Project Space, and exhibited public works in Greece as part of the Lakkos AiR program.
