Cinthia Pimentel, Ombie Productions
Cinthia Pimentel, also known as Cin, is a Black Latinx Bronx-born audio producer, multidisciplinary artist, and storyteller. Her practice spans writing, clay, collage, audio making, zines, community art, and teaching . She is a co-host and senior producer of award-winning podcast, Bag Ladiez. The podcast dismantles the notion of “politics is not for me” and creates a space to learn about the impact of harm within various communities and how we can create change within ourselves first to change the lives of others.
Cinthia has also worked on many podcast series, such as Natal, In Those Genes, and Poetry Foundation’s VS podcast, and many more. Cinthia’s work has been featured in Vanity Fair, Teen Vogue, Shondaland, Autostraddle, Remezcla, and Marie Claire. Cinthia created Ombie Productions, a creative production house that focuses on visuals, audio, and experiences. Ombie Productions uses elements of horror and experimental art to tell stories and explain theories that focus on Afro-futurism, science fiction, and feminism. She is currently working on an interactive audio series called Aombie and an interactive exhibit about Black women's work experience.
